OUR VOYAGE

The first step in a still-unfolding saga was taken as far back as 1939, when the Ceylinco Insurance Company was formulated, and became the first registered company in Sri Lanka . The Company, which was initially located in Baillie Street , Fort, was subsequently moved to No.69, Queen Street , Fort, where the Ceylinco House was constructed. Later on, the Company name was changed to Ceylinco Ltd. Ceylinco Insurance PLC was registered as a public company in 1987, and commenced business, focusing on Life and General Insurance.

The Ceylinco journey, which has demolished established notions in the sphere of insurance, has already redefined boundaries, establishing a brand new standard of service and product innovation. The numerous local and international awards and accolades they have won over the years stand testimony to this fact. Over the years the Ceylinco fold has also swelled with several subsidiaries, which include Ultratech Ceylinco (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylinco Investcorp (Pvt) Ltd, Cey-power Cascades (Pvt) Ltd, Cey Hydro Developers (Pvt) Ltd, Energy Generators (Pvt) Ltd, KBL Ltd, CEG Educational Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Sevena Resorts Ltd, Ceylinco Seraka Ltd and Ceylinco Healthcare Services Ltd.

Ceylinco’s unwavering commitment resulted in them becoming the undisputed market leader in the Sri Lankan insurance arena in 2005, a position which Ceylinco Insurance has maintained unchallenged to this very day. However, not content to sit on their laurels, Ceylinco Insurance continues to redefine the very boundaries they themselves have set, excelling, revelling and impelling themselves forever forward.
